Michael A. Williams’ experience is extensive. It includes over 40 years as a trial lawyer during which he tried a wide variety of cases, not aligned with either defense or plaintiff. The cases in the latter part of his trial career were mostly large commercial cases. During his career, Michael successfully served as an arbitrator and mediator, beginning such work in 1964. In 2001 he ended trial work and began a full time career as an arbitrator, mediator and special master. His extensive trial experience has been very helpful in managing arbitrations, conducting hearings and understanding the real problems of those involved as well as their counsel. Michael’s trial experience has also been beneficial in evaluating alternatives to mediated settlements when acting as a mediator.
